Ola Electric Threatens To Sue A Customer Who Tweeted About The Guwahati Accident
The Ola Electric vehicle company threatened to sue Balwant Singh, who tweeted about the accident of his son Reetam Singh on March 26. He claimed that his son met with a severe accident due to the low-quality brakes used in the Ola S1 Pro scooter. In defending the statement, the Ola e-scooter company stated that the scooter was at high speed and the crash happened by applying sudden brakes. So there was no fault of the company and asked Balwant Singh to take down his tweets, retweets, and posts from the tweeter.
Further Ola officials says; otherwise, the company will take legal action against Balwant Singh for manipulating information and disrupting the company’s name.
Mr. Singh asked the company to delete the tweet that contained the details of the scooter’s telemetry data just before and during the statement. He alleged that the EV company had violated his son’s privacy by posting the information. The company’s lawyer Lakshmi Kumaran and Sridharan has just responded to a ‘takedown tweet’ sent by Balwant Singh.
The company denied the sent legal notice, and Reetham Singh clarified that his father had just emailed the company. ‘The legal notice is sent by the lawyers and my father is not a lawyer’, stated Reetham Singh.
